Stoneware Chop Plate
The advantage to using a stoneware chop plate is, say you are frying country fried steaks, as they come out of the frying pan, you can put them on the chop plate in the oven on low and they will hold until all the meat is fried. By then the plate is hot and will continue to hold the heat.
As much as we use these plates in our house, I would say, judging from customers are telling me, this plate is used more often as art on the mantle than food in the kitchen. It doesn't matter to me what you do with it, it is as pretty as can be and functional.

Stoneware Chop Plate
This stoneware chop plate is a generous 14 1/4" in diameter and will hold a large portion of meat or meats and cheeses. It is 1 1/2" tall and has a nice sized rim on it before it levels out.
